Reiki

Reiki is a healing therapy which many people find deeply relaxing. The word ‘Reiki’ comes from the Japanese words ‘rei’, meaning universal, and ‘ki’, meaning ‘life energy’. Clients are fully clothed during a session and the practitioner’s hands are placed on or above them in specific positions. Energy is then transferred from the practitioner to the client. There are many benefits to a Reiki treatment including improved sleep, reduced pain, anxiety and stress and increased energy. Many people who enjoy Reiki find it to be very comforting but energising. Some people see colours during a treatment, and some find it very meditative.

The only contraindications to Reiki are an unhealed broken bone that hasn’t been set / plated, or cold and flu symptoms.
